BridgeUP: STEM

AMNH’s newest education program, BridgeUP: STEM is focused on the intersection of computer science and science. This portfolio of programs includes:

  • tuition-free intensive multi-year Brown Scholars program for high school girls
  • the Helen Fellowship, a one-year post-baccalaureate fellowship for women
  • an annual overnight hackathon for professional developers and students addressing computational challenges in a given scientific discipline.
Student Programs Brown Scholars A multi-year intensive program for girls in 9th and 10th grade, focused on the intersection of computer science and science. Educator Programs Helen Fellowship The Helen Fellowship is a 1-year residency for post-bacc women in computational scientific research and educational outreach. Special Events Hackathon Collaborate on innovative solutions to challenges in scientific computing at the Museum.

This program is generously funded by the Helen Gurley Brown Revocable Trust for the American Museum of Natural History’s BridgeUP: STEM initiative.
